Role Description

We are inviting applications from passionate, motivated people to join our MK:U education team, leading on the innovative delivery of professional skills at undergraduate level across all our courses, in line with MK:U education strategy.

About the opportunity

In this role you will help us shape the future of education in this field. As Course Lead you will take overall responsibility for the content and quality of our new Data Analyst Apprenticeship course, and you will work with your learners and Course Reps as well as with our Industry Advisory Board to ensure you deliver the best possible student experience.

In addition, you will undertake duties as an academic member of the MK:U Education team with a specialism in a field related to Data or Digital (for example, analytics, visualisation, maths and programming, Big Data). This element of the role includes designing, developing and delivering modules on Data Analyst and other MK:U courses as well as setting and marking assessments.

About you

We are open to ideas and think creatively about our resourcing needs.   We are seeking people to join the team who are as a passionate as we are about the educational needs of our current and future workforce.  You will prize teamwork and value your colleagues’ skills and knowledge. You will be interested in how education works to the benefit of the student and how the in-education learnings actively contribute to their in-work experiences.

You will, most likely, have undergraduate education experience in a subject matter related to Digital and Data technologies. Alternatively, you may have postgraduate education experience with evidence of innovation in your educational approach.  You will have an advanced degree in your subject area (Masters or above). You may hold or be working towards a qualification in education (e.g. a Postgraduate certificate in Academic Practice, FHEA) or be interested in doing so.

To be successful in this role you will be well organised and willing to work to tight, flexible, deadlines. Importantly, you will be able to collaborate with and influence a network of stakeholders and build relationships quickly, and you will be eager to play a full role in the fast-moving and exciting MK:U project.

*Please note that due to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check
