Research Fellow in Farm Greenhouse Gas Accounting
Role Description
We welcome applications from conscientious researchers who can work in an extended team to support the development and scaling of farm-level greenhouse gas accounting in the UK.
About the Role
The successful applicant will liaise with greenhouse gas calculator companies, policy makers, retailers, advisors, land agents, a network of 100 farms, and other project partners, to support scalable, auditable farm-level greenhouse gas accounting in the UK. The post will be one of five positions (one at Cranfield) available within a three-year multi-institutional research project, including commercial companies operating in the sector, which we anticipate will be announced in the near future.
About You
You will have, or will soon have, a PhD focused on greenhouse gas accounting and/or the systematic quantification and modelling of commercial agricultural systems. You will have the skills and experience to gain the confidence of commercial farmers. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and a track record of preparing high quality reports and peer-reviewed manuscripts.
